Crop Circles in Kent of 1989.......
|
THE MANSTON CIRCLES Manston, Nr. Ramsgate JULY 1989 - Wheat Two circles appeared in wheat about half a mile or so away from RAF Manston airfield during the summer of '89. One was slightly larger than the other and they measured roughly 35-40 & 45-50 feet across. It was considered reasonably common way back in earlier times for circles to appear quite close to airports or aerodromes. "The Circlemakers" after all are attention seekers, and for a circle to appear outside your window whilst you're landing at Heathrow must be a sure-fire way of grabbing your attention! One of the local free papers at the time, "The Adscene", came up with an interesting article concerning this event. Apparently two guys were driving home in the early hours one morning, when they saw a large bright light that appeared to hover quite low over this particular field, that was next to the road. Stunned by the experience, they returned the next morning to where they had spotted the light, and to their amazement discovered this pair of crop circles occupying the very same part of the field! © Graham Tucker
