READING THE SIGNS...

What's behind the symbolism found in formations?

PART FIVE

Crop circles are symbols of the purest essence. Without doubt they pertain to higher levels of understanding than our ordinary state of consciousness is aware of. Because we're well and truly influenced by a blinkered and mechanistic mind-set, they serve to constantly remind us of our place in the greater scheme of things. Importantly it seems "The Circlemakers" are quite mindful of our lot...and it's almost as if they're nudging and willing us in a sense to make a life-changing shift that'll embrace the greater reality. Because of their concern for us in taking the darker road, they're offering us a belief system that for the most part is based upon ancient spiritual teachings.

Just like moths around a flame many are attracted to crop circles. Often they challenge their devotees to go far beyond the status quo in order that they'll come to reject the socially acceptable attitude of ridicule and denial. Another reason for saying that we're attracted like moths is because we're naturally attracted to light, or should I say enlightenment. Simply put, as many others have said before me, crop circles are the hieroglyphic "language of light" - from the light...a universal language that cannot possibly be misunderstood, because it's speaking directly to the heart and soul of mankind.

THE CRABWOOD EVENT

On August 15th 2002 an Alien was discovered delivering a pizza to a farm near Winchester. On this occasion "The Circlemakers" had taken an altogether different approach by knocking up an image that came close to looking like a still from an early TV transmission. It's almost as if "The Circlemakers" wanted to emphasise the aspect of a "transmission" on this occasion, because it was placed so close to a nest of radio masts etc that are obviously employed in programming and communication.

Undoubtedly this was a stunning example of "The Circlemakers" craft for as you can see ET's portrait emerges from the field simply through an illusion of light and dark. I believe the horizontal lines started out as being of a constant width, but were then cleverly manipulated in order to create the superb detail which was entirely based on some highly intelligent crop laying decisions. Narrowing down to within four or five inches at times, these lines made no sense at all at ground level. But from the air we were shown what looked like a 1950's, 405-line telly image.

Researcher Charles Mallet who was amongst its first visitors, was quite impressed by its amazing precision...Something which prompted him to remark when he later viewed the aerial, that the whole thing looked as if it had been digitally scanned into the field! Now let's see...could that really be the case? Just suppose you resided off-planet, or within other realms, and wished to communicate by leaving a message upon the face of the Earth for all of us "Earthlings" to pick up on. Without involving ink or the like that might harm the environment, mature crops might easily become the paper that acts as the medium for soaking up transmissions...in fact I think they do!

It soon became quite clear that the formation was indeed all about communication and later analysis of the formation revealed that this stunning glyph was trying to communicate with us on a number of levels. There are many layers to unravel here, and the one that we're invited to peel away at first is that although ET's instantly recognisable as an archetypal "scary" Alien, we shouldn't really jump to any conclusions that he's obviously the one behind the whole thing. We're looking at the Hollywood version that in the mind-blowing graphic terms presented here, seems to relate very closely to the human perception of what yer-average Alien looks like. Straight away we think "not-of-this-world", which simply through our instant recognition of an "off-planet-kind-of-a-guy" that Spielberg could've made another movie with, also serves to illustrate that other realities exist...something that "The Circlemakers" announce throughout the length and breadth of every genuine formation. Personally I don't think he's scary, but when you look at him straight in the eye you can't but help think he's serious!

As for the "pizza" itself, it was soon recognised as being some sort of data-disc. Whilst it does look like a mish-mash of standing tufts, it's soon realised that there's nothing random here. It was a measured outcome...a precise placing of blocks within a tight spiral that revealed a binary message. Binary is the language of computers and because it's simply a series of 1's and 0's etc, its relatively simple to transmit and easy enough to decode. We can easily convert it into our alphabet by employing what's known as the ASCII code which conveniently enables us to convert the binary digits and sequences into their decimal equivalents.

Wasting no time, a number of researchers proceeded to translate the message, arriving roughly at the following...

Beware the bearers of FALSE gifts & their BROKEN PROMISES. Much PAIN but still time. BELEIVE. There is GOOD out there. We OPpose DECEPTION. Conduit CLOSING (Acknowledge)

Whilst it would be very hard to try and interpret this message in any other way than what's being directly said, it still remains open for further interpretation. The subject of many articles, it's been well aired on chat-rooms, and if you care to "Google it" you'll find much that'll interest you!

But as well as the message there's something else here...take a look at the following photo for something interesting occurs when you attempt to blur ET's image...

As you can see the horizontal transmission lines disappear, and the image becomes far more comparable to a photograph than anything else (albeit one that's obviously out of focus). The disc now appears as an orb of light, which judging by how the right hand side of ET's face is lit, appears to be the light source for the entire image. Are we to conclude that we're being shown a ball of light commonly associated with crop circles? A glowing sphere which pulsates and floats in and out of existence in front of astonished observers?...Yes that could be it, but ET is actually offering this light. In a sense we're being offered "the light" or "enlightenment" through crop circles, which surely is the spiritual intention behind the whole phenomenon. In a very beautiful and profound way they're here to enlighten us and for many devotees world-wide, it looks like they're certainly achieving what they set out to achieve.

THE STRAIGHT LINE

Whoever or whatever's behind this phenomenon has been setting out straight lines in our fields since the early days...

Many of the ancients regarded a straight line as a spiritual pathway...that which we should all be journeying upon. Ideally we should have truths to contemplate as we strive to follow the straight and narrow. Now here's where the many beautiful pictograms of yesteryear taught us a valuable lesson, for they relied upon us to walk their central pathway, which in turn allowed us to contemplate all that their authors had laid before us. In a sense life is about that...for no matter where we wander or whatever we choose to pursue, we should always have it in mind to return to our central path.

Not all centre paths in pictograms are straight though for some are curved...whilst others are kinked! The pathways that suddenly deviate prove to be quite interesting. Although there have been some recent examples of this oddity, it was more often seen in those earlier '90's glyphs that mesmerised everyone during the so-called "golden age of pictograms".

Even Kent was on the receiving end of a couple of "kinky-ones" during July '91!...

The centre pathways of the "Wye Trippler" and the "Thruxted Quintuplet" were both kinked, with one heading left whilst the other turned right. But why...why should they suddenly veer off course? Did the bloke holding the string suddenly stumble sideways in the dark?

A straight path that for no apparent reason decides to alter its course is similar in a way to how some church aisles appear to branch off when nearing the altar. This is something that intrigued Brian Damerell who posted a few pages regarding his findings, under the heading "Waving Wheat & Wobbly Churches" in the articles section. The conclusions he found (which I won't go into here) almost spell out why centre paths in crop formation's deviate! Of course we're all free to draw our own conclusions, but it's likely as not that what's oddly expressed here remains quite significant in spiritual value.

THE MOTHER OF ALL PICTOGRAMS

Barbury Castle 1991    © Graham Tucker

Euphorically leapt upon by the press at the time, the headline grabbing " Mother of all Pictograms", appeared at the foot of Barbury Castle, nr. Swindon in Wiltshire on the 17th June '91. Quite unlike anything that had appeared before it was arguably one of the most impressive pictograms ever seen. Superbly elegant in design, this three-dimensional tetrahedron couldn't help but stir up and stimulate alchemic, geometric and spiritual thought. Pictograms during the early '90's were appearing in an undreamed of form and this exquisite beauty had it all...circles, rings, arcs, triangles and yes, straight lines.

Viewed from the air researcher George Wingfield remarked that "...its sharp geometric outline was nothing short of perfection".** And yet it was later realised that one of the lines that made up the great equilateral triangle had a kink in it! Look to the left-hand side of the central triangle in the diagram...It looks like this line has got too close to one of the rings. Was the line deliberately bent as some sort of quick-fix attempt in order to accommodate the inner ring? I've always felt though that aside from transmission errors, "The Circlemakers" don't make mistakes unless they're deliberate mistakes. How could this be a mistake when this formation appeared to be so specific and precise in its symbolism?

There's also a theory that attempts to explain why every single error or deliberate mistake that "The Circlemakers" make is all A1 OK and quite acceptable...and that's the old Persian rug thing! For contained within their amazing intricate designs, the weavers would always deliberately ensure that a tiny element of their masterpiece was imperfect. This is meant to be seen as a spiritual admission of humility on behalf of the weavers, for here they're openly stating that they're not perfect because..."only God is perfect".

Season '91 was to be a notable year for line bending, but why should the Barbury Castle masterpiece with such mathematical and geometric elegance have blatantly incorporated one? Richard Hoagland*** and David Myers whilst researching into the allegedly strange features of the Cydonia monuments on Mars, discovered some remarkable geometric similarities between the Barbury glyph, the Stonehenge complex and the Martian structures. By straightening out the line so that it bisects the inner ring, you get a line of latitude of 49.6 degrees...which just so happens to be the specific and absolutely critical "Avenue angle" that leads out of Stonehenge! Essential elements of the "Cydonia Message" sat quietly within the Barbury glyph that implied quite importantly through this eloquent communication that there exists some kind of unified ancient cosmic culture.

Now where would we be without straight lines in crop circles? Often devoid of circular components, many of today's remarkable events have come to rely upon stars, triangles and squares etc. And with nothing really circular found in some circles, why should we still refer to them as being crop circles? Some of them don't even manifest in crops! But then again I can't really think of anything else to call them - can you?
