Report by Andy Fowlds....

Kent's very own "Team Satan" or should that be "Team Satan Juniors" have been busy again and here is their latest addition... a slight improvement on the formation reported on the 22nd June at the Lower Bluebell Hill earlier in the season, it has to be said. Its a bit of a throwback to the early 90s when we saw huge formations like this one at Bishops Cannings, Wiltshire, in 1994. This attempt is a mere "baby" in comparison. There is still some dispute about what these "white crease marks" occasionally found on the flattened stems are - they are commonly  said to be the result of pressure applied to the stems using the edge of board, for example, especially when the crease marks stretch across several stems in a line. They could of course also be the result of pressure applied with the edge of someone's feet.... Check out the ground inspection photos...... Sadly this kind of evidence was found everywhere I looked in this (cough, hack, splutter) "crop formation", which suggested to me this was a rather laboured and somewhat "manufactured" attempt at imitating the REAL thing....
